What is Play Therapy?

Imagine playtime is like going on an adventure with your toys!

Play therapy is like having a special guide (the therapist) who helps you learn new things while you play. It's a fun way to talk about feelings, solve problems, and make friends with your toys. Just like when you play pretend games with your friends, in play therapy, you can act out stories and use your imagination to understand and express how you feel. It's a safe and exciting place where you can be yourself and learn cool stuff about yourself and others!

About My Therapist

Harriet

Hey there! I'm Harriet, your Play Therapist, and I'm so excited to meet you! Let me tell you a bit about myself. Before I became a Play Therapist, I used to be a teacher. I taught in fun places called ELCs (that's short for Early Learning Centers) in Melbourne for 10 whole years! But way before that, when I was younger like you, I did something super cool—I was a gymnast and a cheerleader! I got to do flips and jumps and travel to different places around Australia and even the world! Now, I live near the beach, which is awesome! I love taking walks by the sea and cooking yummy food. I can't wait to hear all about you and have a blast together!
